Personal Summary
I started off in high school working as a bookkeeper at the local drugstore. Later, as a single mother of 3, money management became a daily function of life. Realizing I had a knack for working with figures, I embraced accounting and finance as a career, attained my degree in Accounting, and have had a successful career in the financial arena for 30 years.
In addition to Accounting, working in field offices has allowed me to expand my career into Human Resources, low-level IT functions as well as, writing company Policy and Procedures, Employee and Safety Manuals.

Career Highlights
- Developed a formal policy and procedure manual, employee manual, and safety from scraps of paper and various notes left for me.
- Converted data from old accounting systems to new accounting systems several times in my career. Overseeing data-transfer, system set-up, maintenance and management, as well as training of employees.
- Upon acceptance of a new position, I learned CS2000 system and closed books for entire prior year within a three month period, while overseeing daily accounting functions.
- Took a totally out-of-control Accounting department and streamlined Accounting functions. Within the first 2 months Accounts Payable was on-track, allowing us to take advantage of all vendor offered early-pay discounts, saving the company approximately $10,000. Within 4 months Accounts Receivable was on-track and maximum outstanding receivables were reduced from 100+ days to 45 days for Net 30 day terms, improving our cash flow.
